The 5-foot-11, 180-pound senior right-handed pitcher, outfielder and catcher led the Crusaders to an 8-2 record and the Interscholastic Honolulu League championship this past season. Lomavita compiled a 4-0 record on the mound with a 1.71 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 28.2 innings. The state’s No. 1 draft prospect as ranked by Perfect Game, he also posted a .414 batting average along with a pair of home runs, 10 runs scored and a .758 slugging percentage.
Lomavita has maintained a 3.80 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball on scholarship at the University of California at Berkeley this fall.
An elected member of his school’s student council and the president of his graduating class, Lomavita has volunteered locally as a peer tutor and youth mentor and on behalf of Marcus Mariota’s Motiv8 Foundation in addition to donating his time as a baseball camp counselor and instructor.
