The 5-foot-6 senior won three individual events at the Class 4A state meet this past season. The state's returning Gatorade Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year, Logue won the 800-meter run with a meet-record time of 2:12.27, captured the 1600 in 5:05.31 and set another meet record of 10:28.8 in the 3200. She also won the 3200 at the Kansas Relays.
Logue has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete on an athletic scholarship at Iowa State University this fall.
Also a talented musician and a devoted member of her church community, Logue has donated her time to Girard High's foreign language and service clubs as well as the school's peer leadership and tutoring initiatives. "Cailie Logue is a fierce and extremely humble competitor," said Tracey Bogina, head coach at Fort Scott High. "It's been a privilege to watch her compete and excel during her high school career. She exemplifies the inner qualities we want all young athletes to display."
