The 6-foot-4, 180-pound senior guard had led the Colonels to a 31-4 record and a berth in the first round of the state tournament at the time of his selection. Fredrick averaged 22.5 points, 4.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals through 35 games, connecting on 48.3 percent of his 3-point attempts (97-of-201) and setting the school’s single-season scoring record with 789 points. He is a two-time Northern Kentucky Coaches Association Division 1 All-Conference selection and the two-time 35th District Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
Fredrick has maintained a 3.15 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at the University of Iowa this fall.
A member of the Covington Catholic Select Choir, Fredrick has volunteered locally on behalf of a soup kitchen and as a youth basketball coach.
