The 5-foot-10 senior outside hitter led the SkyHawks to a 44-0 record, the Class B state championship and a No. 2 PrepVolleyball.com national ranking this past season. Heyne recorded 474 kills, 362 digs and 40 service aces. A 2016-17 Under Armour Third Team All-American, she is also a MaxPreps First Team All-American and was named co-captain of the All-Nebraska team.
Heyne has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball on scholarship at Kansas State University this fall.
A member of the student council and yearbook staff, Heyne has volunteered locally on behalf of her school's Big Hawk Little Hawk program and youth volleyball teams. "Heyne's skill level as a volleyball player is obvious, based on her statistics and career success," said Lois Hixson, head coach at Aurora High. "Her maturity as a leader on the court has also impressed me, and she's shown a willingness to do whatever is best for her team."
