At the time of her selection, the 5-foot-6 sophomore left-handed pitcher had led the Eagles (13-2) to the Class A state tournament. Gerry posted a 13-2 record with a 0.99 ERA in the regular season, striking out 175 batters in 85 innings pitched, while surrendering just 32 hits and 25 walks. She also batted .577 with 28 runs scored. The Southwestern Maine Activities Association Pitcher of the Year as a freshman, she was a Varsity Maine First Team All-State selection as well.
Gerry has maintained an A average in the classroom. She will begin her junior year of high school this fall.
Gerry has served on her school’s student council and has volunteered locally on behalf of the Special Olympics and youth sports clinics.
