The 6-foot-1, 210-pound junior left-handed pitcher and first baseman had led the Cardinals to a 14-3 record at the time of his selection. Anderson compiled a 4-1 record with a 1.00 ERA through 17 games, along with a .469 batting average and 14 RBI. He had allowed just 24 hits in 35 innings pitched while striking out 57 batters. He was a First Team All-State selection as a sophomore and a Second Team honoree as a freshman.
Anderson has maintained a B average in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
Anderson has volunteered locally on behalf of youth baseball and basketball programs.
