The 6-foot-6, 210-pound senior forward led the Bison to a 16-7 record and the semifinals of the Class AA state tournament this past season. The state's returning Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year, Howard averaged 24.1 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. A three-time First Team All-State selection, he was also named the USA TODAY's ALL-USA Montana Player of the Year as a junior.
Howard has maintained a 3.71 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball on scholarship at Eastern Washington University this fall.
A mentor for younger students, Howard has volunteered locally on behalf of a food pantry, the Salvation Army and youth sports programs. "Brendan Howard is such a relentless, hard-working and skilled basketball player," said Drew Haws, head coach at Billings Senior High. "He is just a handful to deal with as an opposing coach."
