The 6-foot-3 senior guard and forward averaged 26.9 points and 12.4 rebounds per game this past season, leading the Cougars (13-4) to the Division 3 regional semifinals. Salenbein also chipped in 4.6 assists, 3.4 blocks and 3.4 steals per game less than a year after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee in Lenawee’s final game of the 2019-20 season. A three-time Division 4 Player of the Year, she concluded her prep basketball career with 2,059 points and 920 rebounds.
Salenbien has maintained a weighted 4.07 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at Gonzaga University this fall.
A Lenawee Christian School student council representative, Salenbien has volunteered locally with Share the Warmth, which benefits the homeless population, and she has donated her time as a kindergarten teacher’s aide and as a youth basketball coach.
