The 6-foot-3, 210-pound senior right-handed pitcher and outfielder had led the Wildcats to a 25-7 record and a berth in the Class 6A state championship game at the time of his selection. A three-time First Team All-State selection, Adams posted a 7-0 record on the mound with a 1.88 ERA and 90 strikeouts in 59.2 innings while holding opposing hitters to a .167 average through 32 games. The state’s No. 1 prep prospect as rated by Perfect Game, he also batted .333 with six home runs and 21 RBI with a 1.163 OPS.
Adams has maintained a 3.95 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball on scholarship at the University of Arkansas beginning this fall.
A member of the National Honor Society, Adams has volunteered locally on behalf of his church youth group and as a mentor and tutor for elementary school students.
