The 6-foot-3, 200-pound senior right-handed pitcher and first baseman led the Rebels to a 17-3 record and a berth in the Division 1 state quarterfinals. Brutti owned a 7-1 record on the mound with a 0.46 ERA through 19 games, fanning 105 batters while surrendering just 14 hits and issuing only 11 walks in 46 innings pitched. Brutti, who did not play as a junior because of a back injury, batted .465 with two home runs, 21 RBI and a .586 on-base percentage.
Brutti has maintained a weighted 4.19 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball on scholarship at the University of South Florida this fall.
Brutti has volunteered locally at a homeless shelter and food bank, and he has donated his time as a flag football referee and youth baseball coach.
