The returning Gatorade State Track and Field Player of the Year, the 5-foot-10 senior sprinter/jumper broke two all-conditions state records and won four gold medals at the state meet this past season, leading the Phoenix to a second-place team finish at the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association Championships. A three-time Penn Relays champion in the long jump, Lewis broke the state record in the event at the USATF U20 Championships, soaring 20 feet, 8 inches to finish fourth. She also broke the all-conditions state record in the 100-meter dash at the Mt. SAC Relays, breaking the tape in a wind-aided 11.21 seconds. Her 100 clocking of 11.51 at the USATF U20s earned her a gold medal. She captured gold medals at the PAISAA Championships in both the 200, breaking the tape in 24.08, and by anchoring the 4x400 relay quartet, which clocked a 3:51.43.
Lewis has maintained a 3.20 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete on scholarship at the University of Southern California this fall.
Lewis has volunteered locally at Baring House, a non-profit organization that focuses on assisting young children in crisis. She has also participated in the Black Student Forum, an affinity group that focuses on the state of Black people on her campus, around the country and around the world.
