The 6-foot, 180-pound senior shortstop and right-handed pitcher led the Warriors (26-5) to the Class 4A semifinal this past season. Deming batted .516 (49-for-95) with nine home runs, 31 RBI, 38 runs scored and 15 walks for an on-base percentage of .580 and a slugging percentage of 1.000. He went 5-0 on the mound with a save and a 1.31 ERA. He struck out 42 batters while allowing just 18 hits and 17 walks in 32 innings pitched, firing four complete games including a no-hitter and two shutouts. A two-time All-State selection, Deming is ranked as the No. 3 recruit in Utah’s Class of 2018 by Perfect Game.
Deming has maintained a 3.91 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play baseball on scholarship at Brigham Young University this fall.
Deming has donated his time helping individuals with their Eagle Scout projects in addition to volunteering with church’s youth group. He has also helped coach at Little League clinics.
