Athletic Excellence

The state’s two-time returning Gatorade Player of the Year, the 5-foot-3 junior right-handed pitcher and outfielder led the Rockets to a 34-0 record and a third straight Class 5A state championship this past season. Wesley posted a 23-0 mark in the circle with a 0.24 ERA and 316 strikeouts in 143.1 innings pitched. At the plate, she produced a .421 batting average with 10 doubles, 32 RBI and a .610 slugging percentage. A five-time First Team All-State selection, Wesley concluded her junior year with a 109-4 record and 1,331 strikeouts in her prep softball career.

Academic Achievement

Wesley has maintained a B-plus average in the classroom. She has made a verbal commitment to play softball on scholarship at Mississippi State University beginning in the fall of 2019.
