The state’s returning Gatorade Track & Field Athlete of the Year, the 5-foot-11 senior was undefeated in the long jump and triple jump during the abbreviated 2020 outdoor season. Moore’s top triple jump of 41 feet, 9 inches ranked as the nation’s No. 1 mark among prep competitors this spring and was less than three inches shy of her state record leap of 41-11.5, which was a national top-five mark among prep competitors in 2019. A five-time USATF All-American honoree, Moore finished 12th at the USATF Under-20 National Championships last July and is the only Nevada girl to ever compete in that meet.
Moore has maintained a weighted 3.49 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to compete on an athletic scholarship at the University of Miami.
Moore has volunteered locally as a youth ambassador with Positive Teens of Southern Nevada, a workshop that nurtures girls’ self-esteem and empowers self-development. She has also donated her time on behalf of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Las Vegas, and has made homemade masks and care packages for people in need during the novel coronavirus pandemic.
