The 6-foot-4, 195-pound junior right-handed pitcher and outfielder led the Irish (20-3) to the Class 4A sectional tournament, scheduled to begin May 28. Russell owned an 8-1 record, a 0.88 ERA and 74 strikeouts against just eight walks in 49 innings throu
