At the time of his selection, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound junior guard had led the Bobcats to a 30-6 record and a berth in the Chipotle Nationals, scheduled for early April. Pemberton averaged 17 points, five assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals through 30 games while shooting 53.1 percent from the floor and 40.1 percent from beyond the arc. Pemberton’s 16.3 points per game in the Nike EYBL Scholastic League ranked 10th among all scorers on the circuit. An Adidas 3SSB All-American while playing for Mass Rivals, he is ranked as the nation’s No. 38 prospect in the Class of 2027 by 247Sports and No. 60 prospect by ESPN.
Pemberton has maintained a 3.1 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
Pemberton has volunteered locally with the St. Francis Church in Lawrence, Mass. He has also participated in a walk for the Jimmy Fund Foundation and works at his local YMCA in the summertime.
