The 6-foot-9, 213-pound senior forward averaged 25.6 points and 9.4 rebounds per game this past season, leading the Pioneers (26-7) to the the National Prep Championships tournament. Thompson also averaged 2.8 assists and 1.7 steals while connecting on 40.4 percent of his 3-points shots (88-of-218). A 2026 McDonald’s All-American Game selection, he was a member of the 2026 Naismith Award Midseason Team and is ranked as the nation’s No. 7 recruit in the Class of 2026 by 247Sports.com.
Thompson has maintained an A-minus average in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play basketball at Ohio State University this fall.
A member of the Athletic Leadership Council at Western Reserve, Thompson has volunteered locally at the Barlow Community Center in Hudson and as a youth basketball coach. “
