Athletic Excellence

The state’s returning Gatorade Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year, the 5-foot-5 senior concluded her prep track career with the state record in the javelin with a throw of 158 feet, 8 inches. Street bettered that mark by five feet at an unofficial invitational during a recruiting trip over the summer of 2019. A two-time state champion, she set a Class A state meet record in 2019 with her winning throw of 156-11, which was more than 37 feet ahead of the second-place finisher. Her throw of 158-8 ranked as the nation’s No. 4 mark among prep competitors in the spring of 2019.
