Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-1, 155-pound junior raced to the Class 5A individual state championship this past season with a time of 15:20, leading the Comets to the state title as a team. Monroe took third at the Nike Cross Nationals Northwest Regional championships in 15:31.7 and finished 35th nationally at the NXN Final. He won the Max King Invitational and the State of Jefferson Invitational.

Academic Achievement

Monroe has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.

A devoted member of his church community, Monroe has served as a peer tutor and has volunteered locally on behalf of youth running programs.
