The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, the 5-foot-11 senior right-handed pitcher and third baseman led the Panthers to a 29-4 record and a third straight 5A state championship this past season. Houston posted a record of 18-3 in the circle, striking out 254 batters while issuing just 23 walks in 110.2 innings. She threw five straight no-hitters to put Benton in the state championship game and finished with a 0.51 ERA. She also batted .687 with 52 RBI and 13 home runs.
Houston has maintained a 4.13 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball on scholarship at Stanford University this fall.
Houston has volunteered locally as part of multiple food pantry drives as well as a back-to-school backpack drive. She also has donated her time to various holiday donation drives.
