The 5-foot-8 junior shooting guard averaged 24 points and 5.8 rebounds this past season, leading the Patriots (24-4) to the Class AAAA state title, the program’s first since 1999. The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, Bordas shot 57.8 percent from inside the arc, 41.1 percent from 3-point range and 78 percent from the free throw line this winter, adding 2.4 steals and 2.2 assist per game. Ranked as West Virginia’s No. 3 recruit in the Class of 2025 by PrepGirlsHoops, she scored 22 points in her team’s title-clinching win, earning AAAA Tournament MVP honors in the process.
Bordas has maintained a 4.65 weighted GPA in the classroom. She will begin her senior year of high school this fall.
Bordas has volunteered locally collecting food and wrapping gifts for the less fortunate throughout the holiday season. A member of the Drug Free Club of America, she has also donated her time by hosting a free instructional clinic for youth players. Bordas is a devoted parishioner of the St. Vincent Parish Church.
