The 5-foot-9 sophomore forward scored 33 goals and passed for 11 assists this past season, leading the Skippers (17-2) to the Division I state championship game. Barajas scored at least one goal in 16 of North Kingstown’s 17 games. She also missed two games early in the season while attending a training camp with the U.S. Soccer Under-15 Girls National Team. A United Soccer Coaches All-American selection, she’s ranked as the nation’s No. 77 recruit in her class by TopDrawerSoccer.
Barajas has maintained a weighted 3.51 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her junior year of high school this fall.
Barajas is a member of her school’s Youth Driven program, a traffic safety and leadership initiative. She has volunteered locally working helping elementary school students with intellectual challenges and as a youth soccer coach.
