The 5-foot-7, 120-pound junior won the CHSAA Class 4A state meet this past season with an all-class record time of 15:01.9, breaking the tape nearly 16 seconds ahead of his next-closest competitor and leading the Red-Tailed Hawks to third place as a team. A two-time All-State honoree, Le Roux took ninth at the national NXN Final to earn First Team All-America recognition. He clocked a 5K personal-best of 14:30.86 last fall when he finished fifth at the NXN Southwest Regional.
Le Roux has maintained a weighted 4.07 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
Le Roux has volunteered locally by helping to set up for his school’s annual Science Olympiad. He has also donated his time by providing child care services at Fun Camp, a summertime youth sports program.
