The 5-foot-3 sophomore won the Class 3A state title this past season, breaking the tape with an all-class best clocking of 18:12.5. Moore went on to take 24th at the Foot Locker South Region championships, then crossed the line eighth at the national RunningLane Championships, which earned her All-America honors. Her victory in the Trinity/Valkyre Invitational came in a personal-best 17:20.8 and represents the fourth-fastest 5k time in history by a Kentucky prep girl.
Moore has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her junior year of high school this fall.
Recently recognized as a scholar student-athlete by the Woodford County Board of Education, Moore has volunteered extensively on behalf of the Southland Christian Church in Nicholasville. A member of her school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter, she has also donated her time as an assistant running coach for Huntertown Elementary and with the Catholic Action Center.
