At the time of her selection, the 5-foot-9 junior right-handed pitcher had led the Stags to a 15-0 record and a berth in the Class A state tournament this spring. DeRoche went 12-0 in the circle with 181 strikeouts and only seven walks in 77 innings entering the postseason. She also batted .485 with four homers and 18 walks, compiling an OPS of 1.685 OPS in 33 at-bats. The state’s two-time returning Gatorade Player of the Year, she’s ranked as the nation’s No. 4 recruit in her class by Prep Softball and was a 2025 MaxPreps Underclass Second Team All-American.
DeRoche has maintained a 3.66 GPA in the classroom. She has made a verbal commitment to receive athletic aid to play softball at Florida State University beginning in the fall of 2027.
DeRoche has donated her time locally with the Mental Edge Softball Camp, where she is a board member and worked on a benefit for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. She also volunteered with the Special Olympics and as a softball instructor.
