When Adam Sheikali needs to be the best player on the field, then Sheikali is the best player on the field clearly! He will score the goal that put you through to the next round or steps up under pressure and makes the shot that wins the championship. He is not afraid and I think the reason why is because he has fallen short in his career before. As a freshman he missed the game-winning penalty in a shootout. Sometimes that makes a player shy away from the pressure situations but it drove Adam Sheikali to work even harder so that the next time he was in a similar situation he was ready for the challenge and could succeed. If player makes a mistake he always consoles them with an attitude that shows he truly feels their frustration. He will tell them a time when he did not succeeded and how he overcame it and how they will too. When another player succeeds he is always sincerely happy for them. Adam is not a perfect human being. I am sure he has his moments when he feels or thinks certain things. But in the many years I have known him I have rarely seen any evidence that Adam thinks about himself before others. A great example of this is I noticed that whenever we come out for a game that Adam always goes over to the ball boys when putting away his backpack. I can hear him talk to them and I noticed that he knows every single kid by name. I found this extraordinary because there's a lo”
