The 5-foot-7 junior guard led the Panthers to a 33-1 record and a second straight Class 1A state championship this past season. Austin averaged 20.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 3.6 steals per game, including 35 points and nine rebounds in a 63-31 win over Marion County High in the state final. The 2023 Class 1A Player of the Year, she is ranked as the nation’s No. 43 recruit in the Class of 2025 by Prospects Nation. She concluded her junior year with 2,958 points in her prep basketball career.
Austin has maintained an A average in the classroom. She has made a verbal commitment to play basketball on scholarship at the University of Alabama beginning in the fall of 2025.
A two-year officer in her school’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America chapter, Austin is a member of the yearbook staff and an Open House guide for her school. She has volunteered locally with the Spring Garden High Beta Club and as a youth basketball coach.
