The 5-foot-8 junior middle distance and distance talent earned All-American status at the New Balance National Outdoors in the mile run this past season, and her state-record time of 4:34.69 ranked No. 4 nationally among girls prep competitors this spring. She also won the 800-meter run and the mile at the state Meet of Champions, repeating the double she completed at the Division 1 state meet. Hennessy’s clocking of 2:07.18 in the 800 at the state meet ranked No. 33 nationally.
Hennessy has maintained an unweighted 4.19 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her senior year of high school this fall.
An avid baker of a wide variety of desserts, Hennessy has volunteered locally with City Reach, which serves the homeless in Boston. She has also donated her time to multiple community service initiatives through her church youth group.
