“Tommy has led the team from the back with his ability to defend and organize. What separates him from most as a defender is his technical ability. He is able to play in tight spaces and distribute to all parts of the field.”
Scott Mosier

Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound senior defender led the Sallies to a 14-2 record and the Division I state championship this past season. McGrail anchored a defense that allowed just six goals against in-state opponents, including nine shutouts. Also the Coaches Association State Player of the Year, he was a three-time First Team All-State honoree and a 2018 United Soccer Coaches All-American selection.

Academic Achievement

McGrail has maintained a 3.57 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer on scholarship at the University of Delaware this fall.

Exemplary Character

McGrail has volunteered locally as an elementary school tutor and on behalf of a food bank and homeless shelter.
