The 5-foot-9 senior won both the discus and the shot put at the Class 6A state meet this past season, launching the former 165 feet, six inches and hurling the shot 42-11. Moran also set a state record with her career-best discus throw of 179-7.5, which ranked as the nation’s No. 1 performance among prep competitors in 2018.

Academic Achievement

Moran has maintained a 3.18 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete in track and field on scholarship at Arizona State University this fall.

Exemplary Character

Moran has volunteered locally on behalf of the Sherwood Sparrow Club and a variety of youth sports programs.
