Athletic Excellence


The 6-foot-5, 200-pound senior shooting guard averaged 29.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.5 blocks per game this past season, leading the Cavaliers (21-13) to the second round of the Class 6A, Region 2 tournament. A McDonald’s All-American Game selection, Grimes is ranked as the nation’s No. 10 recruit in the Class of 2018 by Rivals.com. He concluded his prep basketball career with 2,863 points.

Academic Achievement


Grimes has maintained a weighted 3.38 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at Kansas University this fall.

Exemplary Character


The younger brother of Winnipeg Jets defenseman Tyler Myers, Grimes has volunteered locally with Play With Purpose, a non-profit program that works with at-risk youths.
