Athletic Excellence


The 6-foot-1 senior guard averaged 25.6 points, 6.4 assists, 5.1 steals and 4.2 rebounds per game this past season, leading the Tigers (29-1) to the Class 4A state championship game. A three-time First Team All-State selection, Layden led Northwestern to the 2019 Class 3A state title. She concluded her prep basketball career with 2,360 points, 713 assists, 539 steals and 509 rebounds.

Academic Achievement


Layden has maintained an unweighted 4.01 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at Purdue University this fall.

Exemplary Character


Also an All-State honoree with the Northwestern volleyball and tennis teams, Layden has volunteered locally with the Kokomo Humane Society and at a home for veterans. She has also donated her time to the Special Olympics and as a youth basketball coach and referee.
