Athletic Excellence


The 6-foot-3, 265-pound senior won the discus throw and the shot put at the 2019 Class 4A Outdoor state meet. Jones’s winning discus throw of 185 feet, 10 inches and his 60-2 put of the shot both ranked in the Top 60 nationally among prep competitors during the 2019 outdoor season. The Daily Nonpareil’s 2019 City Football Player of the Year for the Titans, Jones was a 2020 U.S. Army All-American defensive end and a three-time All-State football player.

Academic Achievement


Jones has maintained a weighted 3.14 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play football on an athletic scholarship at the University of Iowa.

Exemplary Character


Jones helped build Dream Playground, the largest ADA accessible playground in Iowa. He has volunteered locally as a youth track and football coach.
