Athletic Excellence


The 6-foot-1, 175-pound senior won three individual events at the Division 2 state meet this past season. Wei soared 23 feet, three inches in the long jump, leapt 46-10 to capture the triple jump, and also broke the tape in the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 13.86 seconds. The Federation championships gold medalist in the long jump (24-3) and the triple jump (48-0.75) as well, he took sixth in the long jump at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor to earn All-American honors.

Academic Achievement


Wei has maintained an A average in the classroom. He will attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology this fall, where he will compete in track and field.

Exemplary Character


A talented pianist and president of his class, Wei has served as a teaching assistant in a Mandarin class and has volunteered locally on behalf of Athletes Helping Athletes.
