The 5-foot-10, 165-pound junior soared 24 feet, three inches to win the long jump and launched himself 49-9.25 to capture the triple jump at the Division 1 state meet this past season. Willis’s winning long jump ranked as the nation’s No. 4 performance among prep competitors in 2018 at the time of his selection, while his triple jump effort ranked No. 11.
Willis has maintained a B-plus average in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
Willis has volunteered locally on behalf of youth sports programs.
