“Jake is a very talented runner, but what sets him apart from other talented runners is his work ethic, toughness and dedication. He’s unquestionably the best track runner, male or female, to come through Exeter high school.”

Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot, 135-pound senior swept the 1600-meter run (4:14.82) and the 3200 (9:19.60) at the state Meet of Champions this past season. Winslow also broke the tape in the 800, 1600 and 3200 at the Division 1 state meet, leading the Blue Hawks to a state championship as a team. He took fourth in the two-mile at this month’s New Balance Nationals Outdoor, earning All-American status.

Academic Achievement

Winslow has maintained a 3.64 GPA in the classroom. He will attend Dartmouth College this fall, where he will compete in cross country and track and field.

Exemplary Character

A devoted member of the Boy Scouts of America, Winslow has volunteered locally on behalf of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
