“Diamond Johnson is dominant in every facet of the game. I know it’s cliché, but you can’t stop her, you can only hope to contain her—and containing her is virtually impossible. She’s so physically strong with such an extremely high basketball IQ that she controls both ends of the floor.”
Chris Brennan
Head Coach Head coach at Conwell-Egan Catholic High

Athletic Excellence

The 5-foot-6 senior guard had led the Saints to a 16-9 record and the Class 3A state tournament at the time of her selection. The state’s returning Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year, Johnson averaged 29.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 3.5 assists through 25 games. The leading scorer—boy or girl—in Philadelphia prep history, she is a First Team All-State honoree and MVP of the Philadelphia Catholic League. Johnson was chosen to play in the Jordan Brand Classic and is ranked as the nation’s No. 6 recruit in the Class of 2020 by ESPN.
