“Devon Chang does everything on the court. She has the ability to take over a match from the setter position, which isn’t common. She digs everything, she serves well and she’s one of the better blockers we’ve played against. She’s a great player and she does a lot of things that don’t even show up on the stat sheet.”

Athletic Excellence

The 5-foot-11 senior setter led the Eagles to a 34-9 record and the Division 1 state championship this past season. Chang amassed 1,171 assists, 361 digs, 85 kills, 82 blocks and 31 service aces. A 2017-18 Under Armour Second Team All-American, she was also the Orange County Player of the Year and a First Team MaxPreps All-American.

Academic Achievement

Chang has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball on scholarship at UCLA this fall.

Exemplary Character

Chang has volunteered locally on behalf of the Special Olympics, a youth literacy initiative and Families Forward, which assists homeless families. “Devon Chang does everything on the court,” said Andrew Mabry, head coach at Orange Lutheran High School. “She has the ability to take over a match from the setter position, which isn’t common. She digs everything, she serves well and she’s one of the better blockers we’ve played against. She’s a great player and she does a lot of things that don’t even show up on the stat sheet.”
