“Davis is without a doubt the best athlete that I have coached in high school. His drive and determination to succeed are bar none, and I knew from the first day that I met him that he would achieve greatness in any avenue he decided to choose.”

Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-1, 160-pound senior won the 300-meter intermediate hurdles at the 2019 Division 2 outdoor state meet. Wenthe’s personal-best time of 37.91 seconds in the 300 hurdles ranked as the nation’s No. 92 mark among prep competitors during the 2019 spring season. The 2019 Coulee Conference Track Athlete of the Year, Wenthe is a three-time Team MVP. He recorded an unofficial clocking of 36.94 in the 300 hurdles seconds this spring, a time that would have broken the state record by nearly a half-second had it been official.

Academic Achievement

Wenthe has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to compete on an athletic scholarship at the University of Wisconsin.

Exemplary Character

Wenthe has volunteered locally at the Trempealeau County Fair, and he has donated his time as a calculus tutor and a youth track coach.
